Hi Graveyard. How and who are you?! Congratulations with regard to your CD. It´s really 70ies like, kick some ass like Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
Hi, We´re all good. Thanks. Rikard Edlund – Bass, Axel Sjöberg – Drums & percussion,
Joakim Nissson – Guitar & Vocals, Jonatan Ramm – Guitar & backup vocals!
Some of our readers may never have heard about you. Please give us a short briefing in the band's biography!?
Born in Gothenburg, november 2006. We recorded our first two songs after about one month. After just a few months and a couple of shows we signed with Transubstans records & TeePee records! Our debut album is out now on Transubstans. The TeePee release comes a bit later this fall. The album is produced by Don Ahlsterberg (Soundtrack of our lives, the International Noise Conspiracy, José Gonzalez, Division of Laura Lee etc)
”Graveyard” sounds like the old stuff of the great Hard Rock time and a little bit of Rory Gallagher, in my opinion? What are the reasons to play this style of music of bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple nowadays – in this f**** modern world of internet, mobile phones, mp3 and so on?
We just do the things we enjoj the most. Create and listening to music. And since we´re listening to the really great stuff I guess you can hear it in or music as well.
What is the message of your record; do you have any massage for the “kids” or you want to entertain only the old Black Sabbath etc. fans?
We got messages in our lyrics oterwise it would be something missing. But we´re doing our own ting and we hope to have some kind of influence on people whether they laugh, dance or cry. We´re doing it for everybody and everyone, not just the old Black Sabbath fans. They got good taste though.
How and why did you choose the album cover? Is there a further meaning behind it; it looks like a mix of Cathedral and Blind Guardian?
It´s a friend of us, davis, who did the album cover. Unfortunatly his no longer with us so it´s our tribute to our friend.
Are there some lyrics that are special to you? Tell us something about them and the process of song writing. Maybe about the tracks “Satan´s finest” and “Don´t take us for fools”?!
Briefly we all wright lyrics and a lot of the songs are sprung out of some jamsessions, if Rikard steps in to the studio with a couple of riffs we start working on it and out comes the songs.
What about the recording process of your album -any stories or curiosities to report? And who was the producer?
The record is produced by Don Ahlsterberg, he did a great job and we´re fortunate to work with him. No album stories exept us sitting in the studio eating lots of pizza. Sorry
Do you play in some other music-project? May some other style; like Death Metal, Blues or even Hip Hop?
Jonatan plays in a band called Solarius. Inspired by the same era though.
How important is it for you to play live on stage; in which countries and with which bands you played until now, how was the reaction of the audience? What do you expect from the audience on the next German Tour? And what could the audience expect?
It´s very important for us to play live. We always do the best we can to give the audience a night they will remember and so far I think that we succseeded. The German audience can expect this aswell.
We are looking forward seeing you in Germany. Best wishes to you all.
Thanks for you time and the answers, hope to see you live on stage soon.
We´re looking forward to see you to. Thanks.
Best wishes to you guys aswell!
